Wasil Ahmad was an 11-year-old boy who gained prominence last year after he helped his uncle fight against the Taliban who were attacking his family. He was hailed a hero by local officials in Tarin Kot in Uruzgan province. But last week, the Taliban attacked Wasil as he left his home to go to the market and shot him dead.
