A medical helicopter crashed in a wooded area in Alabama while airlifting a patient, killing all four people aboard, authorities said.

One patient and three crew members died in the accident Saturday in Coffee County.

The patient was getting airlifted after a car accident when the helicopter went down, CNN affiliate WTVY reported

The victims were pilot Chad Hammond, flight nurse Stacey Cernadas, flight medic Jason Snipes and patient Zach Strickland.

Haynes, an Alabama ambulance company, operates the helicopter, according to the affiliate.

No information was available on the medics’ hospital.
