"I didn't really know what I was getting into, I just had a vision and I was excited about where that would take me," Anyadiegwu told CNN in an interview. After receiving compliments on her African-inspired outfits, she saw the perfect business opportunity.

Social media has played a large role in Zuvaa's success, and Anyadiegwu keeps community at the heart of the business; "I was really diligent on social media from the beginning. Curating and posting beautiful African inspired images to our Instagram page six to 10 times a day."

Anyadiegwu has been very vocal about the fact that she did not want a traditional 9 to 5 job. "My days are a lot longer than 9-5!" says Anyadiegwu. "From when I wake up to when I go to sleep, I'm working on Zuvaa. If I'm not directly working on Zuvaa, I'm definitely thinking about it."
