Typhoon Mangkhut, the world's strongest storm this year, has carved a destructive and deadly path from the Philippines into mainland China.
It made landfall Saturday, September 15, bringing gale-force winds and heavy rains to the Philippines. The storm caused flooding and set off landslides, one of which killed dozens in the mining town of Itogon.
