A recent volcanic eruption has people flocking to see it in Iceland — and some have even gotten close enough to roast hot dogs on it.

The volcano erupted March 19 in the Reykjanes peninsula, southwest of the capital Reykjavík. It came after weeks of increased seismic activity on the peninsula, with tens of thousands of earthquakes disturbing the magma underground.
