Sights & Sounds/A ruined regime

CNN's David Turnley was in Baghdad on April 12-14, 2003, and visited a market in the old city, one of Saddam Hussein's bombed palaces, and neighborhoods all over the captial. His photographs illustrate how the future of Iraq and its citizens remains unclear, as the remnants of war litter the streets of Baghdad.
