Blair Working to Gather Support for Pressuring Iraq Further

Aired February 28, 2003 - 05:05   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: British Prime Minister Tony Blair is working to gather support for pressuring Iraq further. The British leader has been meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar in Madrid. Britain and Spain are two of Washington's staunchest allies in the U.N. Security Council.

TONY BLAIR, BRITISH PRIME MINISTER: ... annual summit between Britain and Spain. COSTELLO: OK, we're going to jump out of this now.
