Adam Charlton is the Executive Producer of CNN Newsroom with Pamela Brown based at the network's global headquarters in Atlanta. Charlton started as an Executive Producer in 2016 after three years at CNN International where he served as Supervising Producer of a number of shows, including World Business Today, New Stream, The World Right Now and CNN Newsroom L.A.
Charlton was born in Britain, the son of a news anchor. He knew early on that journalism was his calling. From his first newspaper byline as a teenager to more than a decade with CNN International in Europe, Hong Kong and now the U.S.
During his tenure at CNN, he has helped steer the network through some of the key events shaping our world -- the implosion of the global economy, the devastating earthquake in Japan, live coverage of Syrian refugees making their perilous journey to Europe, the aftermath of the Paris terror attacks, the 2016 Presidential Election and the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
