  • Alex Stambaugh is a Senior Content Producer for CNN's International Newsource, which serves more than 1,300 affiliates in the United States and around the world.

    Based in Hong Kong, she oversees international content curation for affiliates during overnight U.S. hours and helps connect affiliates to CNN's network of global resources and services. She also works closely with the International Desk, CNN programming and Digital teams to support coverage, especially in breaking news.

    Stambaugh joined CNN in 2016 and has produced from the field on stories including the Hong Kong protests in 2019, the Trump-Kim Jong Un summits in Vietnam and Singapore, the Thai cave rescue, and the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

    Before joining CNN, Stambaugh covered politics for NBC News in Washington, D.C. and worked as a Production Associate on NBC's morning show, TODAY, in New York. She holds a degree in International Affairs from George Washington University.
