Jim Stenman has been working at CNN International since July 2012, producing original video for CNN.com.
His most recent video production has focused on telling the African story by profiling those who are making a global impact in business, arts and entertainment. Some highlights include interviews with “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah and Mo Abudu, also known as Africa’s Oprah.
He has produced and edited reports on the Westgate terror attack as well as the kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls. He was also embedded with the Italian Coast Guard covering the Mediterranean migrant crisis in 2015.
Jim has extensive experience in the broadcasting industry. Prior to joining CNN, Jim worked for Turner Broadcasting – focusing on on its entertainment channels in the Nordic region. He started his career at Viasat Broadcasting where he was responsible for on-air promotions and programming.
Jim is fluent in Swedish and is from just outside Stockholm. He studied journalism in the U.S. and the UK and earned a degree in journalism from the University of Bedfordshire.
