• Sherisse Pham is a tech and business reporter for CNN Business and CNN International in Hong Kong.

    Prior to that, she was based in Washington, D.C., where she was a general assignment weekend correspondent and digital producer. Pham also worked as a correspondent in London with CNN International, covering the Syrian refugee crisis and other regional stories in Europe. She was part of a CNN team that received the Edward R. Murrow award for social media coverage of the 2016 U.S. presidential election. She first joined CNN in 2013, starting as a digital producer on "The Lead with Jake Tapper."

    Pham got her start in journalism in Beijing, China, reporting on everything from the 2008 Summer Olympics to the city's new-found status as an insatiable consumer of luxury goods.

    She also worked in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. After nearly five years in Beijing, she made her way to the United States.

    Before making the jump to television news, she was a print reporter; her work has appeared in The New York Times, South China Morning Post, People Magazine, and more.

    Pham holds degrees from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
