  • Tara John is an award-winning, London-based producer covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa for CNN International.

    She led a team that won an Eppy Award in 2020; is part of a team that writes a daily Covid-19 newsletter; and likes to focus on stories pertaining about security, identity and race.

    Prior to joining CNN in 2019, Tara worked as a broadcast journalist at BBC Africa and was TIME Magazine's reporter in London covering Brexit, European politics and terrorism for the EMEA region for three years until 2018.

    Tara is originally from Singapore, where she worked as a sub-editor at Thomson Reuters after graduating with a Politics and History degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
