Another fashion season has begun, but this time it’s the men who get to strut their stuff.

The Spring-Summer 2017 menswear collections will be shown to press and buyers over the next few weeks, first in London, then Florence for Pitti Uomo, and on to Milan, Paris and New York.

Britain’s capital – with its rich style history – has arguably been at the forefront of the surge in popularity of menswear since launching its dedicated fashion week, London Collections: Men in 2012.

While the global menswear market is still proving to be buoyant, a number of brands have recently combined their men and womenswear shows, raising questions about the future of this particular fashion season.

Despite these lingering questions, the fashion industry was out in full force this weekend in London, showing off the best of the city’s style. From sharp tailoring to streetwear, modern fashion tribes were easy to spot.
