This Dualchas-designed building features a corrugated roof and walls clad in untreated larch, grown in Scotland. The Isle of Raasay is a small island located between the Isle of Skye and Mainland Scotland. This building features sweeping views towards the Cuillin mountains of Skye.

Grealin, Isle of Skye —
Rural Design created this two-bedroom house on the Isle of Skye's Trotternish peninsula. This modern building is on the site of a ruined Blackhouse. Embracing this history, Rural Design incorporated stone walls into the facade to strengthen this connection with Highland tradition.

The Hen House, Fiscavaig —
Another Rural Design creation, this holiday let is located in Fiscavaig on the Western coast of Skye. This 2010 recipient of the Saltire Medal was built from sustainable materials and designed to complement its stunning, cliff-side landscape.

Dualchas' Colbost —
Dualcas' Colbost, located in Waternish on the Isle of Skye, won a 2014 Saltire Award. The property was designed by Mary Arnold-Forster whilst she was working at Scottish architecture firm Dualchas.

Loch Duich —
This Rural Design/R.HOUSE collaboration is situated on the edge of Loch Duich, featuring a stunning view of the famous Eilean Donan Castle.

Tigh Port na Long, Aird of Sleat, Isle of Skye —
This Dualchas-designed house is located at the end of a road in Aird of Sleat on the southern tip of the Isle of Skye. The building is modern but also celebrates the local topography.
