Popular spot: The Austrian village of Hallstatt is chocolate-box pretty -- and the tourists keep flocking.

Tourist numbers: The village is in Austria's Salzkammergut mountains in the district of Gmunden. Its population is just 780, but tourist numbers reportedly reach 10,000 a day.

Quality tourism: Now, Hallstatt is trying to deal with the influx of visitors, with Michelle Knoll, office manager for Hallstatt's tourism board, telling CNN Travel that there will be a "focus on quality tourism in the future."

Disney effect: Part of its popularity stems from rumors the village inspired the fictional setting of Arendelle, in Disney's "Frozen" movies.

Impact on residents: Knoll says that while the city thrives on tourism, sometimes it can be "a bit strenuous" to have so many visitors descend.
