Convenient airports: Europe’s best and worst in 2017
Europe's most convenient airports: Booking platform GoEuro has analyzed more than 70 European airports and ranked their airport transfers to city centers in terms of speed and cost. Amsterdam Schiphol in the Netherlands was named 10th most convenient, thanks to its 14-minute transfer at a cost of $5. Click through the gallery to see which ranks best -- and worst.

Most convenient -- No.9: Leipzig-Halle, Germany: You can travel from the airport to the center of Leipzig in 13 minutes, at a cost of $5.36.

Most convenient -- No.5: Frankfurt, Germany: Frankfurt was a newcomer this year in Skytrax's top 10 list of the world's best airports. The 10-minute, $5.72 airport transfer has to be part of the appeal.

Most convenient -- No.4: Birmingham, UK: The UK's second city does better in terms of convenient airport transfers than the UK capital. It boasts nine-minute journeys from $3.91.
Most convenient -- No.3: Málaga-Costa del Sol, Spain: Sunseekers heading to the Costa del Sol don't have to waste valuable beach time on the airport transfer. Journeys to the city center take 12 minutes and cost $2.14.

Most convenient -- No.2: Lanzarote, Spain: Another Spanish tourist destination is at number 2, this time in the Canary Islands. Transfers take 10 minutes and cost $1.67.

Least convenient -- No.10: Edinburgh: These Edinburgh Airport passengers pictured in 2011 have the right idea. The $6 transfer to town will take 30 minutes -- enough time for a bit of shut-eye.
