
World's most powerful passports: Global citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & Partners has released its quarterly report on the world's most desirable passports. Citizens of Hungary (such as this chap), Slovenia and Malaysia can enjoy seamless travel to 180 destinations.

9. Iceland: The wild and wonderful landscape of Iceland has proved a magnet for foreign visitors in recent years, but Icelanders themselves can easily head in the other direction with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 181 destinations.

8. Czech Republic and New Zealand: Citizens of New Zealand and the Czech Republic (Prague Airport is pictured) both enjoy access to 182 travel destinations.

7. Australia, Greece and Malta: Citizens of Australia, Greece and Malta (whose Winter Olympians are pictured), have easy access to 183 destinations.

6. Canada, Switzerland, Ireland, Belgium: Canada shares the sixth spot on the Henley Passport Index with Switzerland, Ireland and the Belgium, offering visa-free and visa-on-arrival access to 185 destinations.

5. Norway, United Kingdom, Austria, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, United States: Holders of passports from Portugal (pictured) and these other six countries find doors open to them in 186 jurisdictions.

4. Denmark, Finland, Italy, Sweden, Spain: Joint fourth on the list, with access to 187 destinations, are Denmark (whose nationals are pictured), Finland, Italy, Sweden and Spain.

3. Germany, France, South Korea: Germany (pictured) began 2018 in the No.1 spot, but is now in third place with France and South Korea.

2. Singapore: Singapore is one of two Asian destinations to reach the top of the list. It offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 189 jurisdictions.
