Mexico City: The Palacio de Bellas Artes is a jewel in Mexico City's cultural crown. Construction started in 1904 and was finished in 1934. Inside are a concert hall, large theater and the Museo Nacional de Arquitectura. It also features murals by Diego Rivera and other renowned artists.
Samoa: Not to be confused with nearby American Samoa, this independent island group in the South Pacific reopened to international visitors on August 1. There's direct flight access from Australia and New Zealand. Its beaches are naturally a big draw, but so are its waterfalls and hiking.

Madrid: What Central Park is to New York, El Retiro Park is to Spain's capital city. It contains more than 15,000 trees, and with the right timing, visitors can get a splash of fall color there. In 2021, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Greenville, South Carolina: This small city in the Upstate makes a great base for exploring the mountains of the Carolinas. You don't even have to leave the city limits to get grand views of nature -- Falls Park features greenways and a waterfall in the heart of downtown. Greenville is only a 2.5-hour drive from Atlanta, which has the world's busiest passenger airport.

Egypt: Leisure sailboats glide upon the waters of the world's longest river, the Nile, in Aswan. This is a great place to "take a vacation from your vacation" in Egypt. Book a hotel with a view like this and just soak in the scenery and the vibe.
Hanoi, Vietnam: The Old Quarter of the capital is a must-do for tourists. Explore its quaint alleys and streets by foot or by motorbike. And go hungry because you'll want to sample the food. Also, you can visit Hoan Kiem Lake in the center of the Old Quarter for an autumn respite.

US-Canada cruises: A great way to take in fall foliage in New England and the Maritimes of Canada is on a cruise. Oasis of the Seas is one of several ships in Royal Caribbean's fleet that sometimes sail those waters. Another Royal Caribbean ship, Voyager of the Seas, is making runs there this fall.
Bavaria, Germany: The Lowenbrau Pavilion in Munich, the urban heart of Bavaria, is a traditional gathering spot for Oktoberfest. In 2022, it runs from September 17 to October 3. Munich makes a great hub to explore autumn scenery in southern Germany.
