
The Katsu Sando: Japanese restaurant brand Wagyumafia's world-famous $185 Chateaubriand steak sandwich -- dubbed the Katsu Sando -- is winning fans around the world.

Celebrity diners: Ed Sheeran recently paid a visit to Wagyumafia's The Butcher's Kitchen. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and sporting icon David Beckham have also visited the restaurant.

Self-taught: Hisato Hamada, the 42-year-old co-founder of Wagyumafia, is a self-taught chef-turned-Wagyu expert. Originally in the beef export business, the brand was created following a series of private dinner pop-ups around the theme of wagyu. Co-founded with entrepreneur Takafumi Horielater, the duo launched their first members-only restaurant, the Wagyumafia Progressive Kaiseki, in Tokyo in 2016.

The Double Decker: Wagyumafia's Double Decker sushi features Kobe beef and uni. There are currently five Wagyumafia restaurants -- four in Tokyo and one in Hong Kong.

The Butcher's Kitchen: One of four Tokyo Wagyumafia restaurants, The Butcher's Kitchen combines a wagyu-only butcher and restaurant in one.

Kobe beef auction: At a recent Kobe beef auction, Wagyumafia purchased the second most expensive cow of the day for a cool $65,000. In total, the restaurant brand buys around 100 full Kobe cattle each year.
