UK Inquiry was warned of Russian infiltration, leaked testimony shows
Russia's influence reaches deep into the British establishment and successive UK governments have failed to act - that is the stark warning issued in testimony to a parliamentary inquiry on Russian infiltration into British politics. Multiple sources have told CNN that the cross-party intelligence and security committee were told that Russia has built up a network of friendly British diplomats, lawyers, parliamentarians and other influencers across the political spectrum. The full parliamentary report has yet to be published by the UK government, causing angry questions in the Houses of Parliament as to why.
